Woman grows nipple on foot
A 22-year-old woman sought medical care for a lesion in the plantar region of her left foot, a well-formed nipple surrounded by areola and hair. Microscopic examination of the dermis showed hair follicles, eccrine glands, and sebaceous glands. Fat tissue was noted at the base of the lesion. Clinical and histopathologic findings were consistent with the diagnosis of supernumerary breast tissue, also known as pseudomamma. To our knowledge, this is the first report of supernumerary breast tissue on the foot.
These supernumerary breasts can pop up all over the place, including the face, back, and thigh (and foot, obviously). They can be functionally complete, and can even lactate. The authors report some weak and sometimes contradicted associations with other oddities, but no causal mechanism is known. These cases of autonomous self-organization and recruitment of organs are extremely interesting—it suggests that a breast would be a fairly easy tissue to grow in a dish.

now what is the difference between this and the “normal” nipples. I would assume that most people wouldn’t find this sexual. So if you were to put it on TV would it create the same stir that a “normal” niiple would.
I find that slightly unusual. I thought it was something you’d be born with [an extra nipple], not something that appeared years later.
It’s actually more common than you would think for someone to “grow an extra nipple” though they tend to be born with it. In most cases they also tend to look like any other mole or birth mark.
As someone who actually has a supernumerary nipple directly under my left breast, it’s really not all that “eww” as some people have commented. Though hers is quite a large area.

Angel, I’m guessing that she always had it but didn’t see a doctor for it until she either a) got pregnant or b) went on hormonal birth control. Either of those could have made the thing larger or more sensitive (and on the bottom of the foot - more painful), and clearly no sensible person is going to assume that the lump on her foot she’s had for years which has suddenly begun to grow is a BREAST.
